doc: readme overhaul and azure sponsorship (#2826)
* new readme structure

* add adopters file

* add microsoft sponsorship

* add reference to adopter file

* add gopher slack invite link

* slightly rephrase nightly image section

* add sponsor request for action

* better formatting for contributor wall

* add longer wait time for stale PRs and issues and allow for exemption through bug and high-priority labels

* apply review suggestion

Website

This website is built using Docusaurus 2, a modern static website generator.

Installation

npm install

Local Development

npm start

This command starts a local development server and open up a browser window. Most changes are reflected live without having to restart the server.

Build

npm build

This command generates static content into the build directory and can be served using any static contents hosting service.

Deployment

GIT_USER=<Your GitHub username> USE_SSH=true npm deploy

If you are using GitHub pages for hosting, this command is a convenient way to build the website and push to the gh-pages branch.
