POST /notifications/app-message delivers an app's message to every channel
with the new "Messages from connected apps" switch on (off by default),
through quiet hours, the digest and the log. API keys need the new "Send
notifications" permission, and their owner notifications:update; plain text,
http(s) links, 20 messages a minute per key. The electricity-price door and
this one now share one scoped-key check. /queue?batch=<id> opens and
highlights one batch order.
Binds binary_sensor and reading-carrying sensor entities to a printer and
renders their state on its card, worded by Home Assistant's device_class.
Optional per-sensor alert condition drives a notification on the transition
into the alert state and an opt-in interlock that holds queued prints while
alerting -- a hold with a readable waiting_reason, never a failure, and only
ever on a sensor that was read successfully.
Sensors get their own table rather than a wider entity pattern on SmartPlug:
get_smart_plug_by_printer would otherwise hand the card's power button a door
contact to switch.
The hold is passed to the model matcher directly rather than merged into
busy_printers: _check_auto_drying reads that set as "is currently printing"
and would put an idle-but-held printer down the mid-print drying path.
The notification_providers migration spells its default FALSE, not 0 --
Postgres rejects an integer default for a boolean and _safe_execute swallows
the error.
Telegram groups with Topics enabled always received notifications in the
General topic, since only Bot Token and Chat ID were configurable. Splitting
notifications per printer meant running a separate chat for each one.
The Telegram provider now takes an optional Forum Topic ID - the last number
in a topic's link, t.me/c/1234567890/25 - and routes its messages there. Left
empty, nothing changes.
The value is coerced to an int once in _send_telegram and attached to both the
sendMessage JSON body and the sendPhoto form data. That ordering matters:
Telegram rejects a string message_thread_id in the JSON body while accepting
one in the multipart call, so passing the raw form value through would have
worked for thumbnail notifications and 400'd for plain-text ones. A
non-numeric value is rejected in the form and again server-side before any
request goes out.
No migration - provider config is a JSON blob.
Adds Forum Topic ID plus help text to the Telegram section of the provider
dialog, translated in all 13 locales. Backend tests cover omitted / blank /
int-typed / non-numeric values and both send paths; frontend tests cover the
field being optional, absent for other providers, round-tripping on save, and
blocking save on a bad value.
When a print reaches a terminal state Bambuddy holds the queue until
someone confirms the build plate is clear. That gate was visible only in
the Web UI: the printer's own MQTT push reports nothing beyond RUNNING,
PAUSE, FAILED, FINISH and IDLE, so an external automation could not tell
"finished" from "finished and still waiting for a human".
The per-printer status topic now carries an awaiting_plate_clear field,
and every transition is additionally published on a new retained topic,
bambuddy/printers/{serial}/plate_clear. Retained, and published from the
flag itself rather than from printer telemetry: a subscriber learns the
state of every printer the moment it connects, and the state stays
correct after Auto Off powers a printer down - telemetry stops there,
which would otherwise leave the status topic frozen at false.
Publishing is edge-triggered. The queue clears the gate on every
dispatch whether or not it was up, and no subscriber should see a
"plate cleared" for a plate that was never dirty. Persistence and the
WebSocket broadcast stay unconditional; they are idempotent and predate
this.
A matching Plate Clear Required notification event was added, off by
default on every provider because it fires after every print at the
same moment as the print-complete alert. Only the rising edge notifies.
Acknowledging still goes through POST /printers/{id}/clear-plate.
Two tests in test_printer_manager_status_broadcast.py asserted
_schedule_async.call_count == 2 for the setter. The new emission makes
it three on a transition, so they now assert that the persist and
broadcast coroutines are actually scheduled - which is the contract
Translated in all locales; wiki updated. Covered by backend and
frontend tests.
Bark is the open-source, account-free iOS push app (self-hostable
via bark-server). Configure with just the device key from the app;
the server URL defaults to the official api.day.app relay and
accepts a self-hosted instance. Optional settings: notification
Group, Sound, and iOS Interruption Level - Time Sensitive breaks
through scheduled summaries, Critical bypasses Silent mode and
Focus, Passive delivers silently.
bark-server can wrap failures in an HTTP 200 body ({"code": 400}),
so the sender checks the body code as well as the HTTP status.
Unknown interruption levels are dropped rather than forwarded.
When an HA notification provider targets a notify service (e.g.
notify.mobile_app_myphone), a new optional Data (JSON) field is
forwarded as the service call's nested "data" object - the same
place HA automations put mobile push options like priority, ttl,
channel, and group. ttl: 0 + priority: high make Android pushes
arrive immediately; channel gives printer alerts their own sound.
JSON rather than key=value lines so numbers stay numbers and nested
options work. Validated on both ends: the UI rejects malformed JSON
before saving, and the sender fails loudly instead of posting a
half-built payload. Only included when configured - the default
persistent_notification.create path is unchanged, as its schema
rejects unknown keys.
Pushover rejects priority-2 (Emergency) messages unless they carry retry
and expire. _send_pushover never sent them, so setting priority 2 always
failed with Pushover's "retry and expire are required" error. Now at
priority 2 we send retry/expire (default 60s/3600s, clamped to Pushover's
30-10800s range), surfaced as two provider fields shown only when priority
is 2. Added PushoverConfig schema fields, i18n labels across all locales,
and unit tests.
The app was built dark-first, so hundreds of hardcoded Tailwind semantic
text/icon utilities at light shades (text-amber-400, text-blue-300, ...) had
no dark: variant. With darkMode:'class' they applied in light theme too,
producing washed-out text on pale tints and white cards — including the three
reported spots (AMS Drying banner, Archives no-3MF warning, debug-logging
banner). Give each a theme-aware pair: a darker readable shade in light theme
with the original pinned to dark:, so dark theme is unchanged. ~100 files.
The bambu-* CSS-variable palette (self-correcting) and the dark-only SpoolBuddy
kiosk are left untouched. Plain text-white is already theme-aware via the
existing index.css .text-white override, so it needed no changes.
Split Obico failure-detection dispatch out of the multiplexed
on_printer_error event onto its own on_ai_failure_detection event so
users can subscribe to AI alerts without also enabling HMS hardware-
error pages, and so the discoverable label "AI Failure Detection" is
what subscribes them rather than the unrelated "Printer Error" toggle.
New column on notification_providers (default False, branched
SQLite/Postgres migration), new notification_service.on_ai_failure_detection
method, new ai_failure_detection template, obico_actions._notify swap.
Frontend gets a summary badge, a toggle row with description, and ntfy
priority surfacing. 14 new tests pin the routing + the regression guard
("Printer Error" alone must NOT receive AI notifications now). 11 locales
covered.
Existing providers keep working: HMS hardware errors continue to ride
on_printer_error unchanged; users who want spaghetti alerts opt in via
the new toggle.
ntfy supports a Priority header (1=min, 2=low, 3=default, 4=high, 5=urgent)
that controls escalation on the receiving device, but every event was being
sent at the server default — so a "50% complete" ping looked identical to
"print failed" or "printer offline". Add a per-event priority dropdown
section in the Add/Edit Notification modal (visible only for ntfy, listing
only enabled events); the backend reads config.event_priorities and emits
the matching Priority header on POST and PUT (image-attachment) paths.
Unmapped events fall through to the ntfy server default. Out-of-range
and non-numeric values are dropped, not clamped, so a misconfigured value
never silently sends at the wrong urgency. Test sends omit the header by
design so the test path can't accidentally page someone at urgent priority.
Backward compatible: existing providers without event_priorities behave
exactly as before. NtfyConfig.event_priorities is optional; the route
stores config as a JSON blob so no migration is needed.
i18n: full translations across all 8 locales (en/de/fr/it/ja/pt-BR/zh-CN/
zh-TW). README, CHANGELOG, and the wiki notifications page updated.
Tests: 6 backend (Priority set on mapped, omitted on unmapped/missing/
no-priorities, ignored for bad values, propagated through attachment
path), 6 frontend (section visible only for ntfy, lists only enabled
events, save round-trip, edit pre-fill, toggle drops row, non-ntfy
never writes the key).
Notify users when the first layer finishes printing so they can check
adhesion remotely. Triggers once per print when layer 2 begins
(layer_num >= 2, capped at <= 5 to handle reconnects). Includes a
camera snapshot attachment. Adds the on_first_layer_complete toggle
to all notification providers, with backend/frontend/i18n support
across all 7 locales.
Sends persistent notifications to the HA dashboard using the existing
HA connection from Settings. Zero config — just select "Home Assistant"
as provider type. Users can forward notifications to mobile via HA
automations.
Replace all hardcoded English strings with t() translation calls across
9 components: SettingsPage, SmartPlugCard, AddSmartPlugModal,
SwitchbarPopover, NotificationProviderCard, AddNotificationModal,
NotificationTemplateEditor, NotificationLogViewer, GitHubBackupSettings,
and RestoreModal. Add ~600 new translation keys to all 7 locales
(en, de, ja, fr, it, pt-BR, zh-CN).
Notify users when the print bed cools below a configurable threshold
(default 35°C) after a print finishes, so they know when to remove parts.
- Backend: DB migration, model, schemas, notification template, service
method, background cooldown monitor (polls every 15s, 30min timeout)
- Frontend: event toggle in provider card/modal, threshold setting in
Settings > Notifications, i18n keys for all 5 locales
- Tests: 4 backend + 4 frontend tests
- Docs: README, website, wiki updated
Root Cause: The generic webhook sent a JSON payload with custom field names plus timestamp and source fields. Mattermost/Slack webhooks only accept {"text": "..."}
format and reject unknown fields with HTTP 400.
Users just need to select "Slack / Mattermost" from the Payload Format dropdown when configuring their Mattermost webhook.
