maziggy 6388b0df9b Show ethernet indicator instead of WiFi signal for wired printers (#585)
Parse home_flag bit 18 (0x00040000) from MQTT to detect ethernet
connections. When set, the printer card shows a green "Ethernet"
badge with a cable icon instead of WiFi signal strength in dBm.
The printer info modal also displays "Ethernet" instead of WiFi
  signal details.

maziggy 76fd8c5c48 Add SSDP model codes to firmware check mapping (#584)
The firmware check only mapped display names (e.g., "H2D Pro") to
API keys but not raw SSDP device codes (e.g., "O1E", "O2D"). If a
printer's model was stored as the raw SSDP code, the firmware check
either failed or matched the wrong model — H2D Pro matched against
  H2D firmware, showing a false update-available badge.

Add all known SSDP device codes to MODEL_TO_API_KEY so firmware
versions resolve correctly regardless of how the model was stored.

maziggy acae51b938 Fix spurious 0300_0002 error notification via HMS array path (#583)
The previous fix only filtered status codes (< 0x4000) from the
print_error field. Firmware can also send the same false positive
through the hms array in MQTT, which had no such filter. Apply the
same < 0x4000 check to the HMS parser so status/phase indicators
are skipped regardless of which MQTT field carries them.

maziggy 19a1a7584b Fix archive card showing "Source" badge for sliced .3mf files
The isSlicedFile() check only matched .gcode or .gcode.3mf extensions,
so archives from .3mf prints (the standard Bambu slicer output) showed
a "SOURCE" badge instead of "GCODE". Since .3mf can be either sliced or
a raw CAD export, now checks the archive's total_layers and
print_time_seconds metadata to distinguish them. Also passes the
original filename when creating archives from file manager prints.

maziggy 6b92a99dd8 Improve FTP upload progress and widen print modal
FTP upload: reduce chunk size from 1MB to 64KB for smooth progress bar
updates (~1s intervals instead of 20+ second gaps). Skip voidresp() for
all printer models — H2D delays the 226 response by 30+ seconds after
data transfer, causing a hang at 100%. Add transfer speed and TLS
handshake timing to logs for diagnosing slow connections.

  Print/Schedule modal: widen from max-w-lg (512px) to max-w-2xl (672px)
to accommodate long filament profile names like "PLA Support for PETG
  PETG Basic @Bambu Lab H2D 0.4 nozzle".

maziggy 330d77198a Fix AMS slot showing wrong material for "Support for" profiles
Profiles like "PLA Support for PETG PETG Basic @Bambu Lab H2D" have
filament_type PETG, but both the frontend and backend name parsers
found "PLA" first (iterating material types in order). The MQTT command
sent tray_type=PLA and tray_info_idx=GFL99 (PLA generic), so the
slicer displayed PLA instead of PETG.

  - Frontend parsePresetName(): detect "X Support for Y" pattern, extract
    material after "Support for"
  - Frontend ConfigureAmsSlotModal: prefer corrected parsed material over
    stored localPreset.filament_type for tray_type, tray_info_idx, and
    temperature fallback
  - Backend _parse_material_from_name(): same "Support for" handling for
    future profile imports
  - Backend assign_spool: prioritize spool.material over lp.filament_type
    for generic filament ID lookup

maziggy e2ba768c2e Fix spurious error notifications from print_error status codes
Some firmware sends non-zero print_error values (e.g. 0x03000002 →
0300_0002) during normal printing as status/phase indicators. The
parser treated any non-zero value as a real error, triggering
notifications. All known real errors have codes >= 0x4000 (fatal,
warning, prompt ranges). Now skips print_error values where the
low 16 bits are below 0x4000.

Also fix K-profile greenlet error on auto-created RFID spools by
eagerly setting k_profiles=[] after flush in create_spool_from_tray().

maziggy 219214f0af Fix K-profile greenlet error on auto-created RFID spools
create_spool_from_tray() didn't eagerly load the k_profiles

context when iterating spool.k_profiles. Set k_profiles=[] on new

maziggy e5b2cee2f1 Fix VP bind server rejecting TLS connections on port 3002 (#559)
BambuStudio uses TLS on port 3002 for certain printer models (e.g. A1
Mini / N1). The bind server only spoke plain TCP on both ports, so the
TLS ClientHello was rejected as "invalid frame" and the slicer could
never discover or connect to the virtual printer.

Port 3002 now uses TLS (reusing the VP's existing certificate), port
3000 remains plain TCP. Also updated proxy-mode to use TLSProxy for
the port 3002 bind proxy instead of raw TCPProxy.

manual toggle off/on or full restart. Now detects config drift and
  restarts affected instances.

maziggy 8843af6665 Fix support package: mask subnet IPs, detect host mode, parse top-level fun, add virtual printers
Four support package improvements:

  1. Mask first two octets of subnet IPs in support info
(192.168.1.0/24 → x.x.1.0/24) to avoid leaking private network
     addresses.

  2. Fix Docker network_mode_hint detection. The old heuristic
(interface count > 2) always reported "bridge" on single-NIC
     hosts because get_network_interfaces() excludes Docker
interfaces. Now checks for docker0/br-*/veth* visibility via
socket.if_nameindex() — these are only visible in host mode.

  3. Parse MQTT "fun" field at top level of payload (not just inside
"print" key). Some firmware versions send it there, which
explains why developer_mode was null for most users.

  4. Add virtual_printers section to support info with mode, model,
enabled/running status, and pending file count.

maziggy fe5bb1fd90 Fix naive-vs-aware datetime crash from 0.2.1 timezone migration
The timezone fix (ed36eaf) replaced datetime.utcnow() with
datetime.now(timezone.utc) across ~80 call sites, but SQLAlchemy's
SQLite DateTime columns strip tzinfo on read, returning naive datetimes.
Any Python-side comparison (subtraction, <, >) between an aware "now"
and a naive DB value raises TypeError.

Add `if value.tzinfo is None: value = value.replace(tzinfo=timezone.utc)`
guards at all 8 affected comparison sites:
- maintenance.py: last_performed_at subtraction (500 on /maintenance/overview)
- auth.py: API key expires_at check (2 locations)
- print_scheduler.py: scheduled_time comparison
- smart_plug_manager.py: auto_off_pending_since elapsed calc

maziggy 2284a76381 Fix VP queue mode missing AMS mapping for printer-specific items (#529)
The print scheduler had two code paths for queue items: model-based
(target_model set) and printer-specific (printer_id set). Only the
model-based path computed ams_mapping before starting the print. VP
queue items assigned to a specific printer went through the
printer-specific path with null ams_mapping, causing the printer to
default to the first AMS slot regardless of what the 3MF required.

Add _compute_ams_mapping_for_printer() call to the printer-specific
path, matching the existing model-based behavior.

maziggy a6d326f8fa Fix VP queue mode sending wrong plate_id → HMS 0500_4003 (#529)
When a virtual printer auto-queued a file, PrintQueueItem was created
without plate_id. The scheduler defaulted to plate_id=1, generating
MQTT path "Metadata/plate_1.gcode". For multi-plate 3MF files sliced
on a different plate, the printer couldn't find the gcode and returned
HMS error 0500_4003. Extract plate index from the 3MF's slice_info.config
before creating the queue item.

maziggy 1973a5bead Fix virtual printer queue mode not assigning printer (#518), settings text fields resetting mid-typing
Virtual printer "print_queue" mode created queue items with no printer
assignment. Now sets target_model from the VP's SSDP model code (e.g.
P1S, X1C) for "Any Printer" scheduling, or uses target_printer_id if

server response, discarding characters typed during the save request.
Removed the stale state overwrite so in-progress input is preserved.

maziggy c770f842f2 Fix "Queue to Any Printer" ignoring filament color override (#486)
When scheduling a print to "any printer" with a filament color override,
the scheduler picked a printer with the correct filament type but wrong
color. _find_idle_printer_for_model() used color matching only for
ranking candidates, not filtering — a printer with 0 color matches was
still selected if it had the right types.

Now requires at least 1 color match when filament overrides specify
colors. Printers with 0 matches are skipped and reported in the
"waiting for filament" reason instead of being treated as candidates.

maziggy c2b7b6a99a Fix inconsistent print cost calculation on reprints (#505)
Three independent code paths wrote to archive.cost with conflicting
strategies, causing the same model to produce different prices on each
reprint (e.g. £0.77, £1.54, £2.03).

- Remove add_reprint_cost (Path 3) — redundant cost accumulation that
double-counted on top of usage tracker
- Fix usage tracker (Path 2) — compute cost from current session's
results only, not a SUM of all historical SpoolUsageHistory rows
- Remove _reprint_archives tracking set from main.py
- Update test mocks to match simplified query pattern

archive.cost now always reflects the cost of a single print.

maziggy ed36eafbec Fix timestamps off by timezone offset in non-UTC containers (#504)
All backend timestamps used datetime.now() (server local time) or the
deprecated datetime.utcnow(). The frontend's parseUTCDate() assumes
timestamps without timezone indicators are UTC and appends 'Z', so
stored timestamps were off by the timezone offset when the container's
timezone wasn't UTC.

Backend: replaced datetime.now() and datetime.utcnow() with
datetime.now(timezone.utc) across 16 files (~80 call sites) for all
database fields and DB comparisons. Cosmetic timestamps (filenames,
user-facing local time formatting) intentionally left as local time.

Frontend: replaced 13 new Date(backendTimestamp) calls with
parseUTCDate() across 8 files to correctly interpret UTC timestamps.

maziggy b66d7fdec0 Add missing MQTT stage names for H2D print preparation
H2D firmware reports stg_cur=74 during print preparation, which was
not in the STAGE_NAMES lookup table (sourced from BambuStudio, which

the printer card. Also adds stage 77 ("Preparing AMS") which exists
in BambuStudio source but was missing from the lookup.

maziggy 38af5df050 Add filament override for model-based queue assignment (#486)
When scheduling a print to "any printer" (model-based assignment),
users can now override the 3MF's original filament choices per slot.
The override dropdown shows compatible filaments loaded across all
printers of the selected model, filtered by type and nozzle (H2D).
The scheduler matches against overridden type/color instead of the
original 3MF values, preferring printers with exact color matches.

Backend:
- New GET /printers/available-filaments endpoint (aggregates loaded
filaments across printers of a model, includes extruder_id for
  dual-nozzle nozzle-aware filtering)
- New filament_overrides JSON column on print_queue table
- Scheduler applies overrides before AMS mapping, clears tray_info_idx
on overridden slots so color matching takes priority
- Printer selection prefers printers with most override color matches

Frontend:
- New FilamentOverride component with per-slot override dropdowns
- Type-filtered options (PLA slots only show PLA)
- Nozzle-aware filtering (H2D: only shows filaments on correct extruder)
- Integrated into PrintModal for model-based queue mode

Tests:
- 11 backend unit tests (color match counting, override application)
- 12 frontend tests (rendering, type/nozzle filtering, interactions)

maziggy 257b4748e5 Fix developer mode detection always reporting null
The MQTT "fun" field is an integer in the JSON payload, but the

maziggy 7c5741b23c Fix wrong AMS unit displayed with dual AMS on P2S (#420)
P2S firmware sends local slot IDs (0-3) in tray_now, not global tray
IDs, when multiple AMS units are connected. The UI highlighted the
wrong AMS unit (e.g., AMS-A instead of AMS-B). Usage tracking was
unaffected because it uses the MQTT mapping field.

Added disambiguation in _handle_ams_data for single-nozzle printers
with ams_exist_bits indicating >1 AMS: cross-references tray_now with
the MQTT mapping field (snow-encoded) to resolve the correct global
tray ID. Falls back to raw value when no mapping is available or
ambiguous. No behavior change for single-AMS printers or dual-nozzle
(H2D) printers.

maziggy e6236301b4 Fix phantom prints from lingering SD card files (#477)
Three bugs allowed uploaded gcode files to survive on the printer's SD
card, causing firmware restarts to auto-start old prints hours later.

1. The post-print cleanup retry loop always broke after attempt 1
regardless of delete success — delete_file_async returns False on
failure instead of raising, so the except-based retry never fired.

2. When start_print() failed after uploading, the file was never cleaned
up since on_print_complete never fires for prints that never started.

3. Cleanup failures were logged at DEBUG level, invisible in production.

  redaction), add case-insensitive flag
- Move Tasmota credentials from URL-embedded (http://user:pass@host) to
httpx auth= parameter so they never appear in logs

maziggy 732ab8cb6d Fix "Any Model" queue jobs stuck in "Waiting" after plate clear (#435)
MQTT raw data returns AMS unit and tray IDs as strings (e.g. "0"),
but _build_loaded_filaments() compared them to integers without
casting. After the scheduler assigned an idle printer to an "Any
Model" job, it crashed computing AMS mapping with:

'>=' not supported between instances of 'str' and 'int'

The exception prevented the assignment from committing, so the
scheduler retried every 30 seconds in an infinite loop. The job
stayed in "Waiting" and the "Clear Plate" button kept reappearing.

Cast ams_id and tray_id to int(), matching the pattern already used
for external spool IDs on line 550.

completion, prefer the snapshot over live DB queries in both the 3MF

maziggy e4e6e9f8c4 Decouples file uploads and print start commands so that they run in the background asynchronously. When a print is started, the print modal no longer waits for the print to upload and start. Instead, a new toast-based UI appears with the status of prints being dispatched. Prints being dispatched can be cancelled during upload. If cancelled, the partially-uploaded gcode is deleted from the printer automatically before the FTP connection is closed.
This allows users sending particularly large prints to slow printers such as the P1-series to start a print and then move onto another task in Bambuddy immediately (such as starting more prints on more printers). It also gives the user visibility into what's happening instead of a loading indicator appearing for an indefinite period of time.

The new toast-based UI uses websockets to update in real time. It will also appear for other users / instances of Bambuddy, not just the user who started the prints, allowing more transparency and handling cases where the user closes the page and then comes back wanting to know the status of the dispatching.

fix: review fixes for background dispatch PR #408

- Restore missing imports in main.py (inventory, print_log, virtual_printers, mqtt_smart_plug_service)
- Guard voidresp() for A1 printers to prevent hang after upload
- Don't fail upload on voidresp() error since data transfer already completed
- Add ams_mapping to register_expected_print calls for Spoolman usage tracking
- Fix cancel_job TOCTOU race by using single lock acquisition
- Fix batch counter reset TOCTOU by re-checking condition inside second lock
- Add backgroundDispatch translations to fr.ts and pt-BR.ts
- Remove dead upload_progress_callback definitions
- Skip redundant "Print queued" toast in reprint mode (dispatch toast handles it)
- 5 backend tests: cancel_job single-lock TOCTOU, batch reset re-check,
  job lifecycle
- 2 FTP regression tests: voidresp error handling (upload-loop fix),
  A1 model voidresp skip
- 1 frontend test: reprint toast suppression
- CHANGELOG: background dispatch feature + test coverage entries
- README: add background dispatch to Scheduling & Automation

invalid tray IDs like 512+. AMS-HT has a single slot; global ID = unit
ID.

- Single-AMS fallback: return ams_id directly for AMS-HT (128-135)
- Multi-AMS matching: decompose AMS-HT trays correctly (slot=0)
- Multi-AMS narrowing: slot > 0 eliminates AMS-HT candidates
- last_loaded_tray: tighten to valid IDs only (0-15, 128-135, 254)
- Add 10 tests for AMS-HT fallback and last_loaded_tray validation

maziggy d24e7cdf84 feat: multiple virtual printers with dedicated bind IPs + dual bind/detect ports (#445)
Multiple Virtual Printers:
- Each VP gets a dedicated bind IP with independent FTP, MQTT, SSDP, and Bind services
- New VirtualPrinter DB model, CRUD API (/api/virtual-printers), React UI
- VirtualPrinterList, VirtualPrinterCard, VirtualPrinterAddDialog components
- Per-instance TLS certificates (shared CA), 11 printer models, all 4 modes
- Auto-incremented serial suffixes, network interface override per VP

Dual Bind/Detect Ports (#445):
- Listen on both ports 3000 and 3002 for slicer bind/detect handshake
- Different BambuStudio/OrcaSlicer versions use different ports
- Applies to BindServer (server mode) and SlicerProxyManager (proxy mode)
- Updated Dockerfile, docker-compose.yml, firewall rules in wiki

Also:
- Rewrote VP test suite for new multi-instance architecture (75 tests)
- Rewritten "How it works" section with 3-step workflow explanation
- Updated all 5 locales (en, de, ja, fr, it)
- Updated wiki and website for multi-VP + dual ports
- New multi-VP screenshot

maziggy cb3363733e fix: remove dead PAUSED printer state checks (#447)
The printer only sends PAUSE via MQTT gcode_state, never PAUSED.
Removed all unreachable PAUSED comparisons from frontend (4 files)
and backend (2 files).

maziggy 9c81657df7 Fix Print Queue showing UUID hash instead of filename (#438)
Library files are stored on disk with UUID-hex filenames for uniqueness,
but archive_print() used the disk path as the display name. Pass the
original LibraryFile.filename through from both the print scheduler and
direct-print-from-library flow so the archive's filename, print_name,
and directory name all use the human-readable name.
